Catalysts Idrissa Ouedraogo and Vedaste Ndizera will hold a workshop at the Pan African University Institute of Governance, Humanities and Social Sciences on transparency, reproducibility and open science research methods.

The Pan African University Institute of Governance, Humanities and Social Sciences (PAUGHSS) has more than 200 Masters and Ph.D. students from more than 35 African nationalities from all parts of the continent.
The training will be held both in French and English and aims at contributing to BITSS’s mission to improve understanding of problems in social science research and build evidence on solutions for increased transparency through long-term study of researcher practices. Likewise, it aims at training the next generation of young African researchers to tools and practices to enhance transparency, reproducibility and openness of their research.
The following aspects are intended to be covered during the training:
- Scientific misconduct;
- Researcher degrees of freedom;
- Replication, publication bias
- Pre -registration and pre-analysis plans
- Registration & Data-sharing through OSF and Dataverse
