Tom Hardwicke BITSS CatalystPsychology

Tom completed his PhD in Experimental Psychology at University College London, following an MRes in Brain Imaging and Cognitive Neuroscience at The University of Birmingham, and a BSc in Psychology at Cardiff University. His PhD thesis examined the persistence and plasticity of knowledge stored in the human memory system, and involved an extensive theoretical and empirical appraisal of memory reconsolidation theory. Previously, as a Scholar in Residence at the Center for Open Science, Tom worked on projects related to reproducibility, pre-registration, and open data. He is currently a Postdoctoral Research Fellow at The Meta-Research Innovation Center at Stanford (METRICS) and is running several projects designed to evaluate the impact of open science initiatives such as Registered Reports and journal open data policies.
