Matt Woerman EconomicsSSMART Grant Recipient

Matt Woerman is a PhD student in the Department of Agricultural and Resource Economics at the University of California, Berkeley. His current research interests include policies and regulations affecting the U.S. electricity sector. He recently worked at Resources for the Future, an environmental economics think tank in Washington, DC, where he used the Haiku Electricity Market Model to simulate the effects of federal greenhouse gas regulations, renewables and clean energy policies, and energy efficiency and conservation. He received an MS in Agricultural, Environmental, and Development Economics from The Ohio State University and a BS in Mechanical Engineering from Kansas State University.
