Laura Fortunato BITSS CatalystEvolutionary Anthropology
Dr. Laura Fortunato is an evolutionary anthropologist with training in both anthropology and biology. Her research aims to understand the evolution of human social and cultural behaviour, working at the interface between the two fields.
Laura is based at the University of Oxford, as Associate Professor of Evolutionary Anthropology and Tutorial Fellow of Magdalen College, Oxford. She is also an External Professor at the Santa Fe Institute.
Laura has been providing training in research reproducibility since joining the University of Oxford in 2013. To formalize these efforts and open them up to the community more broadly, she initiated and leads the Reproducible Research Oxford project. The project aims to lay the groundwork for a culture of research reproducibility at the University, focusing on training in the effective use of computational tools in research.
