Harrison Dekker Academic LibrarianBITSS Catalyst
Harrison Dekker is an Associate Professor and Data Services Librarian at the University of Rhode Island where he is developing curriculum to teach reproducible research practices and exploring other ways in which academic librarians and data professionals can play a role in promoting and supporting research transparency and reproducibility. Prior to URI, Harrison enjoyed a long career at the UC Berkeley Libraries, where he developed the Library Data Lab and worked closely with other campus data initiatives like the Social Science D-Lab and the Berkeley Institute for Data Science. He holds degrees in Economics and Library and Information Studies.
