Fernando Hoces BITSS CatalystPublic Policy
Fernando Hoces de la Guardia is a Ph.D. candidate in Policy Analysis at the Pardee RAND Graduate School. His work is about increasing the transparency and reproducibility of policy analysis as a way to strengthen the connection between policy and evidence. Before RAND, he studied economics and worked in public policy doing impact evaluations and economic analysis of various social policies.
Through BITSS Fernando has learned about the best practices and tools used for transparency and reproducibility in research. Research transparency represents one of the most exciting methodological developments that he has witnessed in science. Becoming a Catalyst represents a great opportunity to spread this knowledge between researchers and policy analysts.
