Rodrigo Lins is a political science PhD candidate at the Federal University of Pernambuco in Brazil. Concerned with transparency and reproducibility in the social sciences, he attended the 2016 BITSS Summer Insitute. He currently studies democratization, democratic consolidation, and quantitative methods in political science.

The data used in Brazilian empirical social science research is still difficult to access. Rodrigo wants to bring awareness to existing barriers to data sharing and show how science can benefit from more open practices.
