Caroline Jelagat Sitienei Koech is a senior lecturer at Jaramogi Oginga Odinga University of Science and Technology in Kenya. She holds a PhD in Business Management and a Master of Philosophy in Human Resource Development from Moi University. She is a fall 2023 Non-Resident fellow at the Center for Effective Global Action (CEGA), University of California Berkeley, and a certified Personal Initiative Trainer by Leuphana University of Lüneburg, Germany. She is also an alumna of the Berkeley Initiative for Transparency in the Social Sciences (BITSS) Research Transparency and Reproducibility Training (RT2), where she strengthened her expertise in Open Science practices.

Dr. Koech is a member of the Network of Impact Evaluators in Africa (NIERA) and serves as the Country Representative for the Social Innovation and Impact Institute (Si3) in Kenya. Her research explores the intersection of human capital development, entrepreneurship, climate change, and gender, with a particular emphasis on advancing poverty reduction and sustainable livelihoods in developing countries. She integrates principles of transparency, reproducibility, and open science into her work to strengthen credibility and policy relevance.
