2027 BITSS Annual Meeting

We’re excited to announce that the next Annual Meeting of the Berkeley Initiative for Transparency in the Social Sciences (BITSS) will take place on Friday, February 26, 2027 at UC Berkeley. The BITSS Annual Meeting brings together actors from academia, scholarly publishing, and policy to share novel research and discuss efforts to improve the credibility of social science by advancing research transparency, reproducibility, rigor, and ethics.

Please register and consider submitting to our call for speakers, open until November 1, 2026. We welcome submissions related to research transparency, reproducibility, metascience, new research tools and methods, research ethics, and scholarly publishing. Last year’s conference featured a morning session on “Frontiers on AI and Open Science” and we are interested in further discussion of how AI is being used in research. This event is free to attend and open to the public.
