Celine Tsoi BITSS CatalystPublic Policy
Celine Tsoi is a Ph.D. student in Social Psychology at UC Santa Barbara, focusing on intergroup relations, interminority solidarity, and public policy.
She received her B.A. in Psychology and Political Science in 2022 from UCLA, where she studied political psychology, cognitive development, and comparative politics. After graduation, Celine joined UCLA Health’s Integrated Substance Use and Addiction Programs and their efforts to evaluate Medi-Cal’s substance use benefits, including the nation’s first state-funded contingency management treatment.
Her current research at UCSB examines identity and morality mechanims in interminority solidarity and predictors of protests in the United States. At UCSB, she is also active in promoting open science, mentoring undergraduate students, advocating for graduate students, and volunteering at local communities.
