ReproducibiliTea Workshop Series Catalyst Training Project
Laura Elizabeth Moreno Gama
This one-day Research Transparency and Reproducibility Workshop at UC Santa Barbara (UCSB) will be collaboratively organized by faculty and graduate students in Political Science and Psychology. The workshop will train graduate students, early-career researchers, and faculty in the principles and practices of open science. Sessions will cover preregistration and pre-analysis plans, reproducible workflows with version control, data sharing and curation, meta-analysis, and methods for evaluating treatment effects and policy interventions. By combining conceptual discussions with hands-on tutorials, the workshop will provide participants with practical skills they can immediately apply in their own research. The event will also build institutional capacity by connecting the UCSB Research Data Community with researchers from a variety of disciplines, creating durable linkages that encourage the integration of transparency norms into future teaching and research. All materials—including slides, code, and recordings—will be publicly available to maximize impact and dissemination.
