Oscar Barriga-Cabanillas BITSS CatalystEconomics
Oscar Barriga-Cabanillas is a PhD Candidate in the Agricultural and Resource Economics program at UC Davis. His research focuses on non-traditional coping mechanisms in developing countries, using traditional household surveys as big data. Before joining the program, Oscar worked at the World Bank where he studied the structural reasons behind chronic poverty. His experience managing data was developed while working on developing a system to managed large datasets assuring data quality and reproducibility.
