Open Science in a Nutshell: Tools, Theory, and Practice for Reproducible Research Catalyst Training Project

Jose Daniel Conejeros

This three-day workshop aims to strengthen capacities in open science and reproducibility among early-career researchers and practitioners in Chile. Each morning will feature lectures by national and international experts on theoretical foundations, institutional perspectives, and cutting-edge tools for transparency. Afternoons will focus on hands-on laboratory sessions where participants apply these practices to their own projects, including protocol for pre-registration, code sharing, and open data management. By combining theory with practice, the workshop will create a community of practice committed to open, rigorous, and collaborative science. Hosted at the School of Government, Pontificia Universidad Católica de Chile, the event will provide networking opportunities, practical training, and a pathway to publicly share all materials, code, and datasets by January 2026.
