Catherine Wolfram EconomicsSSMART Grant Recipient

Catherine Wolfram is the Cora Jane Flood Professor of Business Administration at the Haas School of Business and Faculty Director of the Energy Institute at Haas. She received an AB in Economics from Harvard University and a PhD in Economics from MIT. Before joining the faculty at UC Berkeley, she was an assistant professor of economics at Harvard University. Her research focuses on the economics of energy markets. She has studied the impact of environmental regulation on energy markets and the effects of electricity industry privatization and restructuring around the world. She is currently implementing several randomized control trials to evaluate energy efficiency programs. Wolfram is a Research Associate at the National Bureau of Economic Research. She is also a Member of the National Academy of Sciences Committee on the Effects of Provisions in the Internal Revenue Code on Greenhouse Gas Emissions and is an Associate Editor at both the Journal of Industrial Economics and the RAND Journal of Economics.
