Ifeoluwapo Amao works in the Research Outreach department of the National Horticultural Research Institute in Ibadan, Nigeria where she is involved in marketing and consumption studies, as well as outreach activities to horticultural stakeholders. In December 2014, she obtained her doctoral degree from the Department of Agricultural Economics University of Ibadan, Nigeria. She attended a Humboldt Kolleg workshop on Ethical issues in research in February 2016. This workshop stimulated her interest in applying for the June 2016 BITSS Summer Institute course on Transparency and Reproducibility Methods for Social Science Research. Since her participation in the Summer Institute, she has had the desire to impart her knowledge about the issues involved in research transparency.
